Job Description


Digital Counsel is looking for a full-time Social Media Coordinator to execute content strategy for arts nonprofits and culture-driven brands. The coordinator will report to the Digital Strategist, and work closely with the Social Media Manager, to produce social campaigns for art fairs, galleries, foundations, and brands. 


The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for social media and be able to discern micro and macro trends across the internet. Day-to-day tasks will include the coordination of Instagram and Facebook account management, (creating calendars, scheduling posts, community management, paid media, analytics reporting). Knowledge of the fields of contemporary art, philanthropy, and/or digital media required. Past experience working in an art-adjacent business is helpful!

Social Media Account Manager will:


  • Develop social media strategies, including consulting on creative and messaging. 

  • Manage multiple social media accounts utilizing Airtable, Buffer, and/or Hootsuite 

  • Prepare Insights reports to assess success of individual campaigns.

  • Update content calendar 

  • Community manage and rigorously maintain an engaged audience

  • Prepare copy across grid posts stories for Instagram

  • Prepare research reports on trends and social developments across the internet with an emphasis on arts and culture practices.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in the running of social accounts.

  • Proven experience in digital marketing

  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple ongoing projects/workflows at once, that set you up for success in balancing tight deadlines and challenges

  • Excellent writing skills and contemporary art knowledge

  • A strong working knowledge of Excel, Google Docs, and Buffer or Hootsuite, or similar platforms; familiarity or ability to learn Basecamp and Airtable

  • Familiarity with Basecamp or similar project management platforms
